The 200 Joules story started with a group of musicians who shared a common thread: the enthusiasm for listening to, playing, and performing rock music. What began as a jam session amongst a few good friends has now become the legacy that is 200 Joules. Although the lineup of the group has changed several times since its inception, one element has remained the same: the passion for musical performance. Each individual member contributes to what has become the band's distinctiveness and its philosophy…....…live to rock.
The result is a hard rocking band that is known for its musicianship and energetic stage performance. The music is characterized by a driving beat, funky bass walks, heavy guitar-laden melodies, and strong vocal harmony. 200 Joules plays a variety of newer rock songs as well as a few recharged classics with musical styles ranging from hard rock to alternative to 80’s to rap.
